Jennifer's Platform and Priorities

Jennifer is committed to protecting Roswell’s natural environment and enhancing the quality of life for residents. She supports restoring recent cuts to the Parks and Recreation budget to ensure our green spaces remain vibrant and accessible. Jennifer will prioritize proper enforcement of existing tree policies to prevent reckless clearcutting and preserve Roswell’s tree canopy. She also advocates for broader environmental initiatives, including efforts to reduce pollution, combat erosion, remove invasive species, and protect the Chattahoochee River. She supports exploring renewable energy solutions – like installing solar panels on government buildings – to reduce emissions and lower long-term costs. Additionally, she believes in safeguarding Roswell’s historical properties through better management and preservation practices.

Jennifer believes Roswell’s economy works best when it works for everyone – not just city contractors or special interests. She will fight to eliminate double taxation on residents, such as unfair parking fees in city-owned lots that are already funded by public dollars. She also supports rolling back recent Parks & Recreation fee hikes that have made community programs less accessible. Jennifer will push to end wasteful land purchases, reduce reliance on expensive consulting contracts, and reevaluate new middle management roles that add bureaucracy without benefit. To support small businesses, she’ll review Roswell’s existing fees and taxes to ensure that they don’t unnecessarily burden businesses – she will work to eliminate or lower the fees and taxes that do burden our local businesses.

Jennifer understands that good governance starts with respect – for residents, city staff, and the democratic process. She’s committed to improving Roswell’s work culture to reduce staff turnover and end the cycle of costly firings. And to ensure every voice is heard, she will fight for the right of local business owners to speak during public comment at City Council meetings, ending a long-standing gap in representation. Jennifer will push for more timely, transparent communication from city leadership on major decisions. Finally, she supports enforcing rules of decorum at public meetings so elected officials are held accountable for treating residents with civility and respect. Nearly two dozen former Roswell elected officials from both sides of the political spectrum signed a letter expressing dire concern over the way that the current Mayor and Council are running the city.
